It's never been broken, there's always rooms and people and you can instantly join custom games and matchmaking with NO problems. Blu-Ray's quality is better and if you have a really nice big 1080p TV it's even better!
Plus I prefer to have my media on a physical object that I can hold in my hand. This prevents:
DRM, HDD space, computer crashes and copy/transfer issues
